Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Jinx Leaked Ahead of Hasbro's Own Reveal, and the Thread Is All About Target

Update, August 22. Hasbro has now done both of the things this post was waiting on. On August 19 it put the official digital render of the Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Jinx 2-pack on its own Facebook page, and in the same post it named the date: “This Ninja Force 2-Pack will be available for pre-order on Friday September 18th at 9 AM ET. Keep an eye on our socials for the full product reveal in the coming weeks.” That render is now the image at the top of this page.

Two things the render settles. Snake Eyes’ alternate head is a fanged animal mask, which is what the thread had been arguing about at thumbnail size, and it comes with the black feathered cape piece visible above him. Jinx is in a red asymmetric one-shoulder top over dark purple trousers with red leg wraps, and she carries a crossbow with a quiver plus two swap heads of her own, a plain black ninja hood and a patterned mask. Between them the render lays out two katanas, a machete, a serrated knife, sai, kunai, nunchaku, a kama, two submachine guns and a sidearm.

Two things it does not settle. Hasbro’s post does not name a retailer and does not give a price. Toy Habits reports the set as part of Target’s Fall Geek-Out event, which would match the Scarlett and T’Jbang precedent below, but that framing is the outlet’s and not Hasbro’s words. Worth flagging too that HissTank’s own paragraph above the Hasbro quote reads “September 12th” while the Hasbro block it prints reads September 18th. September 18, 2026 is a Friday and September 12 is a Saturday, so the quoted Hasbro line is the one that holds together.

At the SDCC 2026 Classified Series panel Hasbro gave the Ninja Force Snake Eyes and Jinx 2-pack a name-only reveal, and said renders would follow somewhere between the convention and New York Comic Con.

The renders did not get there first. On August 13 a photograph of the finished, boxed set went up on r/GIJOEClassifiedSeries, posted by Cuanzai0813 under the sub’s “New Reveals” flair. It has since taken 404 upvotes and more than 100 comments. Nobody in the thread is arguing it is fake.

As of August 15 we had not seen the packaging photo at full resolution and Hasbro had published nothing, so what follows about the figures is what the outlets that ran the image described at the time, not what this desk had verified. The official render at the top of this page, added August 22, supersedes it. Toy Habits reports a windowed box with a blue inner tray and a spread of swords, sai and what appear to be kunai. It puts Snake Eyes in the black and blue Ninja Force deco with wraps across the torso and limbs, and Jinx in a red and black top with muted purple pants and arm wraps. The back of the box is described as promotional photography of both figures in a cherry blossom courtyard, Snake Eyes with a submachine gun and katana, Jinx with a crossbow and wrapped leg guards, with inset panels showing alternate head sculpts.

The single most repeated observation in the thread is that Snake Eyes’ alternate head reads as an animal mask, and that at thumbnail size a lot of people mistook it for Black Panther. That is a comment-section reading of a low-resolution photo, not a spec.

Jinx is the interesting one, because this version never existed

Jinx got exactly one figure in the vintage run, in 1987. Ninja Force did not start until 1992. She was never a Ninja Force release, whatever role she played in the comics of that era, so there is no vintage deco for Hasbro to have followed here.

Commenters in the thread reach the same conclusion from the other direction, saying the look does not match anything they can place. Several read it as closer to Ibuki or to Ghost of Yotei than to anything in the Joe catalogue. Taken together with the absence of a vintage reference, the most defensible reading is that this is a new design rather than an adaptation, which would make it a rarer thing than another Snake Eyes variant.

The thread is not really about the figures

Read the comments and the sculpt is a side issue. What collectors actually want to talk about is what happens when a Ninja Force 2-pack goes up for sale.

The precedent is the Ninja Force Scarlett and T’Jbang set, number 212, which ran as a Target exclusive. Multiple people in the thread say Target cancelled their preorders, in at least one case a week before the set was due to ship, and that stock never returned. Ninja Force Zartan is described as having sold out immediately. One commenter, Degausser2342, opened the thread with “I can’t wait for this to be a Target Exclusive so my preorder can get cancelled again,” and it set the tone for everything under it.

Hasbro has not said this set is a Target exclusive. The expectation is inference from the last one, and it is worth keeping those apart.

If you missed the last one, it is still orderable

This is the practical part, and it came out of the thread rather than out of a press release. CMD Store is listing the Scarlett and T’Jbang 2-pack at $55.99 as a pre-order shipping August 2026, SKU 5010996415141. We loaded that listing this morning. Hasbro’s own copy on it counts fifteen accessory pieces: two claws, a sword, two kunai, two alternate hands and an alternate masked head for Scarlett, and two alternate hands, a claw, a hook knife, an alternate tiger masked head and the two signature hook swords for T’Jbang.

A commenter also reports getting the set from a Canadian retailer, and notes that the exclusive arrangement does not appear to apply outside the United States. We have not checked that ourselves and are not linking it on one account.

BigBadToyStore has no current Classified Ninja Force listing, checked this morning. The only Ninja Force result there is the 2018 G.I. Joe Club Zartan with Cold Slither Cycle, long sold out.

What is still unknown

Still no price and no number in the line, and Hasbro has still not named the retailer itself. What we have now is a firm date: Friday September 18, 9 AM ET, in Hasbro’s own words. Hasbro also says a full product reveal is coming before then, so photography and a number should land between now and the on-sale.

The thing to watch on the day is the one the thread was actually worried about. If this does run through Target, the Scarlett and T’Jbang cancellations are the precedent, and a 9 AM ET drop on a Friday is not a lot of room for a second try.
